about

Written by Craig Radford (Sticky Filth)
Craig is a great human, if you ever get the chance to meet him, take it immediately. Sticky Filth is the best band NZ has ever taken for granted, During the pre-production of their latest album "Fouth Domain" (1157 records) which they did at theDank, Craig stayed back afterwards and did a bunch of solo acoustic tracks, and the resulting CD (that i never did end up burning for lafe, sorry mate was on high rotate in the lounge for ages. We learnt this track off it for when theMC opened for Sticky Filth, and we played it as a soundcheck during our recording session, it ended up being a better take than anything else we layed down that day, so here it is! you can find the original versin of this song at www.craigradfordacoustic.com

lyrics

come with me and we will go, cross the boarder into mexico
was a side-gunner in vietnam, fell in love with his girlfriend from japan
chiped his tooth on a microphone, four times snapped his collarbone, snap snap, he was the last to roll in the 4.1's learned to drive in an HQ holden
and its a long way down, to hell and back and hevans, just a little tooo far, the devil he dont just play drums, the devil plays guitar.

played an angus young SG and a vox distortion and a cry baby,
had a peavy butcher and a marshall stack, painted all his gear flat black

and its a long way down, to hell and back and hevans, just a little tooo far, the devil he dont just play drums, the devil plays guitar.

wide open, take a shot to the ribs, youd better keeep your guard up, keep your guard up.
wide open, take a shot to the jaw, youd better keep your guard up, keep your guard up.
you know what its like when you dont, remember you name?
i feel the sunrise
im doin fine, if its all the same
i feel the wind burn
wide open, wide open so much more than before
thats what friends are for....

etc....
thanks craig!
