about
classic sentence from my flatmate CJ, who unwittingly helps write quite a lot of my lyrics. i actually just tried to write the most radio-friendly pop song that i could when i was bored one afternoon. i even turned on an auto-tune for the first and only time in my life ever, which i solomnly swear i shall never do again, i apologies. This one has Will Wood on drums, and was recorded sometime back in 2011, i suspect. You may as well have it as part of this record, right?
lyrics
i was laughing with them, but they were laughing at me, it was a good good laugh, it went round half of the party...
and all we needed was a lesson in dignity.
sometimes getting a head start just means that you peak too early
so is this just us for tonight, or will this be a whole life story
if you look back now you might find that is been quite blank and distorted
i was laughing with them, but they were laughing at me, it was a good good laugh, it went round half of the party...
we've had enough to feed the whole, hungry army
i know what you THINK you look like, when your drunk and dancing
and now we're part of the lock in crew, allways the last to be leaving
sneezing out pink, white, red, green, and blue on our sleeves for the next three mornings.
you were the life of the party...
and thats why we love you, you were the life of t he party...
you motherfucker...
yes you are.
